    The alcohol part.
If you mean starters, main course and dessert then I'd have to say the main course as I very rarely have a starter or a dessert. If you mean what is my favourite component of each individual meal then probably the meat portion.

Can/did you see the Perseid Meteor Shower tonight?

    The sky be aclouded, mon.

Would you believe in astrology if it turns out the Higgs boson would indeed allign gravitational waves from planets and stars in such a way that astrology turned out to be a real thing?

Well as you said it would be a real thing, then I'd imagine that we would have concrete scientific proof. At that point I think I would believe it, but I would make sure to check sources and credibility of those performing the astrology.

Do you prefer to read in long sittings, or in short sittings?

I'd like to read for at least half an hour if I get the opportunity.

If you were to be a Pokémon, which would you be?

I always liked Mew, from when I first learned about Pokémon (1999?) to the third generation. I didn't know how ridiculously powerful Mew was meant to be.

Do you read books from a language other than your own or English? (original or translated)

My basic language skills are only good enough to enjoy books in English and Dutch. I hardly ever read a book translated from English to Dutch, since good translations are hard to come by. I do, however, read translations from other languages. Translations from the Scandinavian languages are pretty excellent on the whole. But I have also been known to read translations to English when I feel that's better than Dutch (or the latter is not available).

When will the Pokemon Go hype train reach the terminal station and be over with?

The Pokémon Go hype train will slow down slightly with the end of summer, and then even more at Christmas. People will continue to play it, but not in such large numbers, when all of the students are back at university or back at school.

Do you find caring more about your security and anonymity in the face of government surveillance? (any more so than before?)

Not really. I mean, for every secret service employee, there's ten Russian hackers out there. And, Snowden has basically only confirmed what I more or less understood was happening. The influence the surveillance community has over the tech industry has actually surprised me most - and that shows that, yes, public debate needs to happen.

When will you finally finish that novel of yours?

Aha, never, because I'm not writing one :D
Oh I've wanted to for a while and every so often I come up with the vaguest of ideas, almost entirely of the setting, but I have absolutely nothing going towards a story or characters, so I've played it self and not tried. I used to write tiny bits of stories when I was younger, but nothing now. I'm good at programming and sport, so I don't really draw or write anymore. I would like to pick them both up again though.

What keeps you coming back to TFF? (especially in its quiet days)

Oh well for the matter of fact, I'm still a newbie. I can't give up on you guys yet right?o_O
But what I do like about this forum is that it is so...lively. And you people just seem like one big family in all honesty.

If you were to bring one fictional character into the real world to spend a day with you, who would you pick and why?

Alice, of 'Alice's Adventures in Wonderland' fame... because I love tea parties.

If there is one character I would bring in real life, it would be Tasselhoff Burrfoot from Dragonlance Chronicles. He knows how to have a good time.

Does anyone think that Bethesda is a poor RPG developer since they released Fallout 3?

No.... Skyrim was altogether a pretty good game, and not at all a poor RPG. But the hype oversold it a bit, so it ended up being a bit of a disappointment anyway. Arrow to the knee, though.

What's the one new feature in GTA 6 should definitely have? Bear in mind that Hot Coffee has already been done :p

Well I haven't properly played a GTA game since Vice City (and even then I hardly played it), but I would go for the police (and citizens too?) having a memory of your acts, even when outside of missions (if even just the radio reporting things). It could be done by recognising certain types of events and could fit in with a Shadow of Mordor-style system.

Are the summer months your holiday season?

Hmmm... I don't have any kids, so I basically get to pick and choose. For the first time in years, I took two weeks off in July and August - to rendez-vous with the bunch in Gdánsk!

Now, in good FIFA & IOC tradition, I know a lot of officials still need to be bribed before a decision can even be considered - but which city has your vote for the next TFF meetup?

Paris... or maybe the Alberta Badlands, even Washington DC.
Washington DC is actually pretty amazing, some of the best museums in the world... the Smithsonian! Plus, I've contributed to the Hillary campaign so I could introduce you guys to the President. As I understand it, it's called "pay for play", don't know what a $200 contribution gets me though. I hope you guys don't embarrass me.

    Same question...

Bruges, Edinburgh, Aachen or Köln; I'm still a student so I can't travel far, but have nice cities around me. I probably wouldn't even be able to make it anyway, so just wishful thinking.

What has been the biggest change in TFF since you joined?

Background colours :D - it used to be blue, you know... That, and the gradual shift from Americans, with a Christian majority - to Atheists, mostly from the Continent.

Which MIA user do you miss most?

No one because I just got here.

Was there a noticeable decrease of users or was it pretty gradual?

There was apparently a noticeable one just before I joined (the forum was already brown when I joined, although different from this), after the Spam 2.0 wars.
I've definitely noticed that most non-European users have left over time, although we do still have a big enough user base in the US who come by every so often. There was a big drop in users around 2013, when I started uni; could be linked to people getting jobs.

What do you look for in TFF right now?
