Are you and Met related?
Heh. Do we act alike?
You could say that.
Is that what you're saying??
Aside from the immature and catty comments, a little verbal jousting like this is good. It sets a stage for discussion, and lets people show their passion for aSoIaF. I was shown the light by App, and there ain't no way I'm turning back.
But like Liadan said, personal comments are no-gos. Keep it above the belt, guys.
I'd moderate here, but I fear to get in the middle of you guys.
Yeah you better run.
Love taps, Nienor. Love taps.
below the belt is so much more fun.
I don't really see it as below-the-belt. I think of it more as a backhand as I walk away. Still, I"ll try to keep it civil if it will keep from getting serious.
aye! nothing stirs the spirit like verbal jousting. it is as conan said when asked what is best in life...
i love to enter the den of the lion and meet it. 1,000,000 asoiaf fanatics:1. i like those odds.
ps. comment made in fun.
Y'know, in any other instance, I'd totally agree with this.
Lol. You remind me of Han Solo with that comment.
reminds me more of a stereotypical Paladin.
There can't be more than a thousand of them. I won't be hurt!!!
(upon being sent to hell) I've come to demand the surrender of hell!! Well what's taking so long??
Converts are the best.
rvsp... Damn straight. But as Renz said, verbal jousting = good.
As long as it's not with Crusader.
Yes they are.
And don't mind her, she's alright.
Yeah, I'm a convert too. Courtesy of Elan.
Isn't that originally a Genghis Khan-quote?
My thoughts exacly.
Wait a second. Maybe I'm having a memory lapse, but Falagar - weren't you the one in the General Book Forum that was arguing with us about not liking ASoIaF? You finally saw the light, didn't you?
EDIT: Whoops, I finally found that thread again. You were in the middle of that little skirmish but were on our side. Nevermind.
"Little skirmish"? Almost drew blood.
lol, I resisted the "TREASON! BURN HIM!" approach.
