Wow, that is fast, lol. Im re-reading Winter's Heart again, good stuff.
What I love so much about The Wheel of Time books is how much detail there is! When ever I want to explain one little thing to someone who hasn't read the books, I have to set it up with a really long setting and all that! I also find it a lot easier to read than Tolkien, but that's just me. They are long, but the first two books are halved into two smaller books, which made it easier for me to start them. Now I can read one, very long book in a week or less! I wish I could write just a fraction as good as Robert Jordan!
Welcome to the Boards Aubrey, always good to have another WOT fan in our midst
The Eye of the World got delivered to me about a week ago. I just finished the two towers. Now I have to read the Return of the King, so I'm guessing that I'll be reading it sometime in an airplane or train over in Europe in a week or so.
Cool, you'll have to tell us how it goes. If you have any questions, im sure anyone here would be happy to help.
Alright, I'm almost done with the eye of the world. By the way, the trip went well. It's a really good book! The only problem is that I don't think I'll have enough room on my bookshelf for all of them.
They are worth making the room.
Ha, thats what i said, but somehow theyve all managed to fit, and i only damaged one, lol, but ill buy a new copy sooner or later.
I finished it a few days ago. That book is great! Long books are awesome in general anyway, but it was really good. I hope to get the great hunt soon, but I' not sure when I will. I couldn't find the hard cover one yet and paperback falls apart too easily, so I'll have to wait to find it at Borders in Ft. Wayne, IN. My grandma lives in Fort wayne so she bought me a gift certificate from borders and there isn't one in my city. It's a bit of a hassle.
Fort Wayne, Eh? That's about an hour from where I live. My wife was there about two days ago.
I got The eye of the world for my birthday a week or so ago, after hearing a lot of praise here i decided I'd give it a try. After about a week of short reading sessions (I'm a slow reader) I'm hooked. Its great, I've already ordered the next two before I'm 2/3rds through this one.
Thats great, its always good to have anohter fellow WOTer at TFF. Tell us what u think of EoTW when your done.
Glad to have you aboard the WoT bandwagon Crusader!
Hey, I'm happy to be on board, Im goign through the thing at a pace that can only match my reading of LOTR. I'm getting thoroughly emerged in the book, You should have heard my audible emphasis when i realised what had happened when Rand and Mat were trapped in the inn at Four Kings.
Glad you like it! Welcome to the WOT addiction!
