I lack a name for my planet, but I have names for most of my other stuff. I will upload images later. I hope for any feedback, good or bad. Aoxien- The main continent I've been working on, it's a large mass in the center of the Ocean. Sydon- A more tropical and wild continent, to the East of Aoxien. Pritvar- A cold, harsh continent, to the Northwest of Aoxien. Kitvan- A hot, desert/tropical continent, West of Aoxien. Harzon- A Hawaii-like continent, composed of many different islands. It lies to the Southwest of Aoxien. I have many races built, all though, the most important ones are the: Ophidi: The Ophidi are the most beloved of the races, as they are the most in tune with the land. The current Queen of the Ophidi is Zephyria. About every hundred years or so, a Queen is chosen. While the rest of the race are called Ophidi, the Queen is referred to as a Gorgon. It will be born Ophidus. The Queen lives for centuries but steps down when another Queen is chosen. It will always be a woman. They currently possess normal hair, although they used to have hair of snakes, like a true Gorgon. Now, only the Queen is blessed with the Crown of Serpents. They live in a sort of harem, where 80% are females, but a rare 20% are male. Male Ophidi are a rare sort, that when they marry one of the women, it’s considered a special occasion that Ophidi all around will come see. They can reproduce asexually, so men aren’t needed, but when a man is born they are considered a noble, so marrying them makes the female a noble too. Men tend to be smaller due to sexual dimorphism. Dwarves: Short, human-like creatures who have a talent for metallurgy and mining. They only keep the land they have on Aoxien because of the political need to have it. Most of their kingdom is underground, which is called the Undermines. They barely leave their keeps underground. When a Dwarf is spotted above ground and outside of Val, it’s considered good luck. They live in a utopian/dystopian society, where their taught that their lives are determined by the Council, and they are not allowed above ground. The group to escape the Dwarven rule started with 320 and ended with 5. Only 5 Dwarves have escaped. Due to their superior technology, it became really hard to escape. Their superior technology is a result of the loss of their homeland, Pritvar. The Avesmer pushed them out, so the Dwarves became a secluded race, using technology they stole from the Avesmer and backwards engineering it. They’ve stole technology from all the races over the years, but no one seems to be aware of it. They live in seclusion now, perhaps because they are planning revenge and a re taking of Pritvar. Avesmer: A race of eagle-like creatures who hail from Kitvan. They are a very war-like race. They have a innate talent for explosives. They were invaded by the Trolls and the Dwarves early on. They only had a small piece of territory to call their own in the South of the continent. The Dwarves owned most of the continent, along with Trolls. They both mistreated the Avesmer and took them as slaves. They declared war on the Trolls. The victory was swift for the Avesmer due to the fact that they had been preparing for war. After that, with their advanced avian technology, they pushed the Trolls off of Kitvan, making them take refuge on other continents. Since the Avesmer were the first race on Kitvan, they only wanted their kind to rule the continent. After their last victory, the Dwarves declared war. The first and last battle of the war was the Battle of Alogiop. The constant bombardment of the city left the Dwarves in ruins, causing them to immediately surrender. After they won the war, they forced the Dwarves to leave the country and the leader, Fuhadler, set up a Fascist Freedom State on the bitterly acquired new continent. The Avesmer were allies with Humans for trading purposes. So, when the Angelic Wars broke out, the Avesmer helped out the Humans with infantry and aerial support. After the war was lost, the Avesmer were forced to pay war reparations. They helped the Humans with loans, as their economy was one of the strongest after the war. Since then, they have made many allies, many just due to fear of the vastly superior military of the Avesmer. Although they seem perfect on the surface, they are not. They lack any innate magical abilities. They also have a short temper, making them get into many unneeded fights. Tendrites: A race of reptilian creatures with tentacles on their backs that they can use to move around or pick up things. The tentacles are virtually invincible, and are usually covered up and retractable, as they don’t stem from the individual, but rather from portals on their back. They are in tune with the Azaos realm, one of true horror and uncertainty. Unlike the Nethergrove, it’s not one of undefined rules, but rather one of unknowingness. There are rules in place, but they are not known. In this realm, no one has been able to return without going mad, due to the monstrosities that are supposedly there, though that may just be ramblings of the insane...The Tendrites are mysterious. They speak a weird language that has yet to be deciphered. Their written language isn’t much different, as their symbols seems to shift and change. No one is certain about anything of the Tendrites, which exemplifies the realm they come from. Those who hang around the Tendrites for too long are said to have nightmares, and slowly go insane. As such, they were given their own province and they were walled off. They are one of the newest race of Aoxien. Spinnansi: They live underground and have made alliances with the Dwarves. They have lived underground for as long as history has been recorded. They are fluent in their own language and series of tapping with their legs, but they are also very good with the Dwarvish language. It was a tactic by the Dwarves to keep the other races from communicating with them. The Spider People have been allowed into the Nethergrove and along with the Sylvektion they are the only sentient creatures to caretaker the wildlife and botany. They are a very peaceful race, as they’ve never seen conflict. They have four arms on their torso and eight legs on their abdomen. The Spiders are strange, as they wish to have no say in the politics of Aoxien, despite being under the continent for centuries. They are pacifists. They feed off of small Apeps that snake down far enough, and small shrew-like creatures. Technically that makes them not pacificists but close enough. Lykaons: The Sand Hounds, a species of jackal-like people who live in the vast deserts of Aspur. They are large creatures who have an Egyptian-like society. They ride giant scorpions into battle and fear the Apeps of the Sands of Kriiso. They are equal parts aggressive and peaceful. They have prospered for many centuries and are one of the oldest races of Aoxien. They are very ceremonial and sentimental. They worship many gods and bury their dead in vast tombs in the Gheki Mountains. Their pharaohs are considered god-like and are worshipped after death, except for the Dark Ones. They are the family of pharaohs who messed up Aspur and its people. The gods cursed them during their reign, but they are now long gone. Large structures are built to house their pharaohs. Even the Dark Ones were buried in tombs, but they are kept far away from the others, in fear of corruption or the return of their dark magics. Inlitians: Inlitians are strange creatures, as they've always been around the continent of Aoxien, but never set foot on it until the Battle of Rhys knocked the land off. They come in any color and many shapes. They resemble squid-people. Not much is known about them, and they are kept out of Aoxien affairs, despite their Isles being considered part of Aoxien. Depending on their family and birth location, there are many different types of Inlitians. There are the Deep Ones that scavenge wrecks and are stealthy warriors, there are the Land Ones that have been born with both gills and lungs and a pair of legs to walk around with. They are the most well-rounded of the Inlitians, being considered the average. There are the Coast Ones that can walk on the coast but can’t go too far on land, due to their lack of lungs. Vareen: The Vareen- A slug like people that are powerful magic users and have strong diplomatic skills. They are from the continent of Aoxien. The country they are from is Varion and the capital city was Telver before it was destroyed. They used to rule much of the continent but their power has diminished over the years. There are now less than three thousand left and they only have 4 cities. They are hated by almost every race on Aoxien because they once enslaved them. They once had millions of people but the lost them in a war with the Dark Elves and the Orcs. They were surprised as the Orcs stole the Yuqo which was the stone that a Vareens magic came from. The Dark Elves used the stone to give themselves new magical abilities as well as making the Orcs stronger. The Vareen had a long war with the Dark Elves and Orcs that ended with a lot of Vareen dying. Because of the new abilities of both the Orcs and Dark Elves they ravaged the Vareen and did not have mercy by slaughtering all of them that they could. The Vareen eventually got the Yuqo back but they thought that they must have upset the people in the sky because the stone was no longer the same and their magical abilities were weaker. The Vareen now have to rebuild their population and society by using their magical abilities. Top mages of the Vareen have been trying to figure out a way for the Vareen to produce faster ever even if it means that they will not live as long. The king of the Vareen was killed in the Dark Elve Redemption and the rulers of the Dread Council stared infighting which led to more Vareen deaths. Ennik- These are small, caiman-like people who are native to the 3 islands off the coast of Sydon. They are around 3ft. Tall and are tribal. They make sacrifices of fish to please their gods. Each island has a different tribe, so there are 3 Ennik tribes. Many underestimate the Ennik and assume that they are just a cute little crocodilian tribe. But whether that is true or not, is to be seen. The Star Stalkers- Race of aliens that have been sighted in every single province of Aoxien. They tend to look through the windows of the houses at night. They are known for traveling in triangular vehicles in the sky and they resemble little grey aliens except that they are around 6 ft tall and have the feelers / horns above their eyes that resemble very bushy eyebrows. They are just myths, as none have been able to get any evidence of their existence. Those who believe are shunned by others, mostly Dwarves. Whether because the Dwarves have something to hide or because they don’t believe in them is yet to be seen. Demait- A hare-like race with tusks instead of buck teeth. They are around 2-4ft. Females are usually smaller than the males, but are more dominant throughout the clans. Demaits usually have short or medium length fur, with colors ranging from black, grey, and white. If a kit is born with brown fur, they are considered evil and are killed if the color does not fade. The hierarchy of he Demaits species is based on ear lengths. If one were to have longer ears, they would be considered a kind of royalty and would take on a leadership position. If one has medium ears, then they oversee doing mediocre chores around camp and see to the day to day happenings. The demaits with the shortest ears are considered very low class, and are sent out on missions to collect food and other supplies. The short ears are only allowed to mate once in their life, to try to weed out the short ear trait. They mainly live in rock dens or camps in ____. They are not proficient fighters, so they try to find plenty of hiding places. If they are forced into combat, they will use their tusks to bite the throat. No religion has been recorded, but they seem to believe in reincarnation. It is said that if someone dies, they are reborn again as a towering oak tree, and it is their duty to call their kin to their location so that the family may build a nest in the roots of the tree. Since oak trees tend to have brown bark, kits that are born with brown fur are ostracized and killed if the brown does not fade. The race considers it a bad sign that a young one is born of a color they should only achieve after their death. Once a Demait dies, a celebration is thrown in the deceased honor. The dead one’s name is not brought up out of consideration to the family; the celebration is to remind everyone that they will one day become something greater than they are now, and will serve and provide for the whole race. The deceased one is lowered into the ground and a variety of seeds is thrown onto the body as a way to help and strengthen the great oak it will one day grow into. The Demait are intelligent creatures when it comes to survival, but are clueless when it come to holding relationships with other races. They tend to offend others with their lack of communication and standoffish personalities, but the Demait think it keeps them safe from becoming involved in conflicts. Their relationship with the wildlife is one of great respect; they treat all plants kindly and only eat berries that certain bushes produce or small fish they catch from streams. Forest Elves: Forest elves are medium-sized, ranging from brown to green to red. They were the first species on the continent of Aoxien. They live in groves to the North West side of the continent. The Forest elves are the second most in tune with nature, next to the Ophidi. They can bend the earth to their will with ease, which is why they are the most respected of the races. Humans: The Humans are the most revered of the races. They are around 5’4” and range from white to tan to black. They are okay with magic, but they have created and mastered a form of weather/fire magic that resembles a Holy magic. Dark Elves: Dark Elves are tall elves, ranging from light gray to near black. They are the dominant race of Aoxien and are very in tune with the many schools of magic, though they have a natural affinity for Necromancy and Controlling Weather Symbiotes- During the Angelic Wars, the corpses on the battlefield kept disappearing, so much so that certain people were sent into battle just to keep up with the dead, and those people always ended up disappearing. After the was over and all the races had evacuated the now Gray Wilds, a new race started to appear around the structures built by the humans in the cold land. They were fungus-creatures who had been stealing the corpses for food, as they were scavengers and decomposers. They weren’t technically plants, so the Forest Elves hadn’t detected them and couldn't control them. Orcs/Trolls/Goblins: A race of creatures that resemble humans and elves but are green, brown, white, etc. They form a primitive form of society compared to the elves and humans, but it’s still more advanced than most of the tribal races of Gokiir. There are many of these race, such as the smaller Goblins, the medium sized Orcs, and the tall Trolls. They all have different societies, but they live in peace for the most part. Some conflicts arise every once in awhile, but due to treaties in the past, they keep the peace. They towns are stone based and reinforced with logs.
