When the new products announcement was made back in August, I'm sure I was not the only one surprised to see Herugrim, King Theoden's sword, in the lineup for fall/winter release. At first, it struck me as odd. Herugrim? That certainly wouldn't have been my first choice for a release. I hadn't even considered that it would come out- much less given any thought to buying it if it did. But..... a funny thing's happened. The durned thing's grown on me. Looking at the pictures of it now, it really is a very beautiful sword. In fact, considering Guthwine and Eowyn's sword, all of the Rohirrim swords are beautiful, especially because they're so unique. They're different, in style and shape, from anything we've seen so far in the LOTR collection. From their 'short', viking-esque blades, to their beautiful use of the horse-head, to their liberal allotment of golds and rich, brown hues..... they're special. Now, Herugrim is one of my major purchase considerations. I would consider myself privileged indeed to own such a magnificent sword. Does anyone else have any plans to own Herugrim, or one of the other Rohan blades? And have you had a similar change of heart regarding them?
