nah its not faramirs, the hilt on faramirs sword is larger, and the quillions point slightly upwards *ie the opposite way from the ones on the ranger*

plus these are Fellowship weapons i think, its starting to bug me now, lol

    it's not faramir's

perhaps it's some character's that has not yet been introduced.

Possibly Denethor's or (hopes to Illuvatar) Prince Imrahil's.

Curufeanor may have this pic too but so do I and I know all the swords. Far left case from left to right we have, Stirders Rager sword, then way down the hilt of narsil, then sting, glamdring, and the hobbit sized sting. Next case to right swords from left to right,Hadhafang in scabbard, the EWS, Boromir's sword, below that we have Legolas's Daggers, then up above in the right corner I believe is striders eating knife. Next case to the right, swords from left to right, Witch King sword, Nazgul dagger, Nazgul sword, and orc scimitar.
Then in the far right case we have the mistery sword which I believe to be either, a Ithilien range sword, or, I would have to check the dvd, but possibly Isildur's sword and for hobbits swords, this mistery sword I think has an awesome look and wuld love to know what it is. Lets try and get some of the guys fro BRB or UC or WETA to clue us in. The oly other option ia an unintroduced chacter, but all the other swords are from the FOtR

Well, it definitly cannot be Isildur's sword. I have a picture of it in LotR Weapons and Warfare. Isildur's sword is more like Narsil taken down a notch. It also can't be Denethor's because that's a Gondorian with a crescentshape on the pommel. The rangers of Ithilien used standard Gondorian swords.

    This is getting interesting...

Edit: I think it might be the sword the front "King of Men" (Witchking?) has in the scene where they take the nine rings. It might fit with the age of the "hobbit" swords. I only have one photo to go bye and you can make out the pommel, hilt and one quillon. The shape of the quillon matches, so do the rings on the hilt. The pommel I cannot see very well on the photo in the gallery.

Does he have another one? I haver never noticed him having another sword. I do know that he didn't take Glamdring with him to Isengard. Is that when he had a different sword?

Yea, if you go frame by frame you can see it. That'd be my guess as well.

I haven't looked at it on the DVD, but I believe you in an instant. That would also explain why it is rather plain and in the same case as the Hobbit swords/daggers.

...hey...dont tell Finrod...but I might actually be stumped on this one...though it is very similar to both the witch-king's (before he was the was the witch-king in the prologue) and Faramir's. And to think - I posted the pic.

Actually, that isnt strider's eating knive in the second case, it is the daggers given to Marry and Pip in FOTR.

Yep. That certainly looks to be Gandalf's other sword seen at Isengard...which begs the question-WHY?
Does anyone have any insight on why he has another sword? I can't find anything on the extended DVD- documentaries, audio commentaries, nothing seems to mention it except that we see it again in Gandalf's design galleries.

I thought Gandalf's horse sword was discussed in a thread not so long ago.
I brought up the fact that it is on the fellowship extended dvd galleries.
