I am enjoying the two RPG's. So I though we might as well start another one, I gave it some thought and came up with a basic idea. I've though up enough names and places to make a good introductory post, so here is a brief summary:

Its about a Character I made called "Zaad" who is a large demon who is near unstoppable in battle. Anyway if you read the bio I made up he was in a load of wars and then retired from the world. Lets say he was "Hibernating" for the last 16,000 years in a cave he found. After all that time he wakes up to see the world once more, and now he hopes to be a bit more pacifistic because all he has seen his whole life is violence and death. But as you can guess a big demon is going to attract a lot of attention and a lot of swords. Anyway, he wakes up in his little cave to find the entrance has collapsed and he in trapped, but there is one crack which has water dripping from it. After smashing his way through 20 feet of rock he emerges in some sewers of a huge city. Finding all the ladder shafts too small he smashes his way to the surface and climbs out into the streets. When in the surface he finds himself in the centre of a huge city surrounded by scared people. After a few minutes the guards are upon him and trying to kill him. He swats them away (trying not to kill them) and returns to the sewers to hide.

Thats just the start, there are a number of things that can happen from there. Its a huge city so any number of characters can show up, they can either be hired by the city to slay zaad or just be in it for their own ends. There could be some plot going on in the city already which he gets involved in somehow. Theres a load of opportunities for a good RPG in there.

yea i know, but erm in 16,000 years of sleep a lot of technology can develop, so unless he was sleeping from caveman times, then you have quite modern stuff? so it depends when you want your today to be, ancient times or modern, or even futuristic

Well actually, we can assume that technology hasn't been developed. This is fantasy, not reality.:p

Yeah all fantasy genres seen to be in a perpetual state of medieval ages.

Look at LOTR, I heard that by the time of the war of the ring, if they had hadd the same technoloogical progess as us then they would have been to the moon already.

There's no reason we can't have a futuristic RPG if you guys want it. SciFi and Fantasy are closely related. Just the settings are different.

Rad's right though. For some reason Fantasy has never discovered any technology. Must take away from the fun. :p

Crusader, get your RPG beginning written up and PM it to me. I'll start a section for that when you're ready.
