What are your opinions on the existance of Aliens? I think that it is possible but not probable.

They kidnapped me last week, and probed me with their horrible, horrible instruments. :(

    J/K :D

I believe it's possible. After all there are millions of other galaxies, and planet systems waiting to be discovered. But, no one has given me any concrete proof yet. So, I'm gonna remain skeptical.

Personally, I hold about the same view as the late Carl Sagan did.

Based on pure statistical probability, the universe is teeming with life. Statistically speaking, many lifeforms exist with an intelligence and a technological level equal or greater to our own.

However, given the vastness of our universe and the limits of physics as known so far, the chances of us contacting, let alone meeting, extraterrestrial life would be akin to having the last two bumblebees on earth dying in a head on collision.

Are you people only considering intelligent life as aliens? Because if not, aliens do exist.

What do you think of crop circles?

I think crop circles are a hoax.

As for ET life, I'd have to coat tail on what sky said. It would be very closed minded of us to presume that we are the only intelligent life in the universe.

Well, when I think of aliens, I think of "intelligent life", not just "extraterrestrial" life. I really don't believe that many here feel there isn't ANY life anywhere in the universe.

And I too feel that all crop circles are a hoax, or perhaps on rare occasion a natural phenomenon, such as a wind funnel.

I think that some crop circles are a hoaxe, but not all of them, and where the ones that are not a hoaxe come from, I don't know. Did you know that in most crop circles the seeds are not in the pods, and there are no openings where they might have escaped? And along the stem there are places where it popped, suggesting a large and sudden burst of energy?

I believe aliens exist. It would be a real waste of space if we were the only planet with life on it. As the quote goes. "The real sign of intelligent life out there is the fact they have not tried to contact us."

I believe in alien life, the theory of intelligent alien life is unlikely. The theory of intelligent alien life contradicts my religion. Jesus came to die once, for humans, not for aliens. But that is from a totally Christian point of view.

I do think they exist. But, I have no deep theories about it. Go figure. I'll try tomorrow. :p

Here I was expecting Sky to make a comment like that and you did it, Tin. ROFL. :D
I'll have to say it was a memorable experience. :humper:

Gamigar, I believe the crop circles are hoaxes. They're proven how easy it is to duplicate them with rope or even with your feet. If aliens did land, they'd have better things to do than hang out in corn fields.
I would think you could extended the concept of humanity to include any intelligent life form. Not just human beings on earth. It doesn't necessarily contradict Christianity.

You'd think they'd be smart enough to pick a better spot to land. There's really only two good reasons to be in a corn field: to grow corn, and :humper: (Can you tell I grew up in a rural area?). But then again, it Nienor's statement is true about the probing, maybe the two are related.

And as for the relationship between God and aliens, I'm going to bring up something somewhat related.

The last two nights I'd been watching the SciFi Channel's "reimagination" of BattleStar Galactica. Now I absolutely understand that this is a work of fiction, but both the original series and this "reimagination" uses the premise that man did not originate on this Earth, but Earth was actually a colony of a race from somewhere else. Now, if you ignore the fact that certain aspects (especially of the original series) are cheesy, they used Biblical and mythological (the pyramids, the zodiac, the Great Flood, etc) references to give credence to the idea. I find that interesting.
