That is so true.
All of those causes, plus more, can lead to it. Genetics also plays a part. For instance, my family has a LOT of addicts of various things. Drinking, drugs, gambling, video games, even an exercise addict. Some people just have a genetic disposition toward getting fixated on one thing that brings them pleasure. I'm proof of that: I'm a total internet addict.
And I think the idea of "good addictions" is stupid as a whole. No addiction is good, it's a mental disorder. Some just happen to be less harmful to yourself and/or others, so they're termed "good."
I did see a science show a couple of months ago dicussing the mapping of an addiction gene. If you've got it, your WAY more likely to become addicted to stuff that somene without the gene could do once and then never give it another thought.
Andrenaline addiction you know mixed with paranoria and slight amont of guilt straight up heaven and then a week later talking about gives you some euphoria then that drives me to relax and meditate shortly after hahaha
I think that my personal drug usage came from pain. I had been through a lot of emotional problems and was down to try anything at the time, but I realized that doing so many things really takes a toll on you mentally and physically. I still smoke weed frequently, but I have managed to quit drinking except for one weekend night per week. Psychedelics affected me the most, to be honest. The first time I did shrooms I had an epiphany and it kind of changed my views on things, but it was for the better as I appreciate a lot more things than I used to. I've also done LSD and cocaine and while I don't regret it, I do know that I don't plan on doing them again any time soon just because it took a lot out of me.
It's all good. I just think of those times as learning experiences and I'm glad I got them out of the way sooner rather than later because I don't think it's a good idea to be heavily involved with drugs past a certain age.
Smoke till I die.
the only actual drug ive done besides weed wich isnt really even a drug was acid and all i did was trip like crazy not funnnnnnn
I dunno...I've always enjoyed tripping. I think that you have to mentally accept what's happening when you're doing things like that and just go with it and I swear you would enjoy it the right way.
I'm not condoning this, of course.
haahaha accepting it was little hard
Life would be boring and too easy without fighting addiction and prejudice in your own self.
Aw, I thought Darkfox was back.
Cool ass quote i think my teacher made hahaha i dought it
The greatest gift we have besides life is the ability to choose, if you become addicted to soemthing you lose alot lol or something like that
tequila and rum wooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Fighting prejudice, yeah. I think that's an inate part of humanity. Everyone thinks their race/religion/neighbourhood/local sporting team etc is better than everyone else's. But addicition? I don't aspire to that. That's more a brain chemistry/genetic predisposition thing. Pass. I'll take boring thanks!
Just about everyone is addicted to something to some degree. Some things are just relatively benign to get addicted to, like video games and marijuana (which really isn't THAT hard to control, I mean seriously)
