first of all his gear rocked check out this pic
tell me what youn like about him or what you dont like about him
I don't know...I just like him ...maybe because he's so elven....
and I really hate that he was killed in TTT
*wanders in to point out Haldir was only killed in the movie and not the book*
In the book, Huorns (ent-like creatures) helped to fight the Battle of Helms Deep. The elves of Lothlorien were busy on their land defending against attacks from Mordor. So, Haldir is most likely alive. He's too handsome to die anyways.
Love the pic of his gear.
in lotr weapons and warfare he has a differt sword that is broader than hadafang but is not exactly like the galadrim swords
Well, he was wise for one thing...
Don't know about the film, but in the book he ignored the direct orders of Galadriel and Celeborn when he gave the entire Fellowship (including the Dwarf) the permission to pass the borders of the Golden Wood... Takes courage and wisdom to make the decision to defy the rulers of your realm because of some urgent matter some strangers claim to have.
No, cancel that, I suppose you have to do anything Galadriel's future greatson-in-law asks you to do, so he didn't have much choice anyway.
No wait, on the other hand, Haldir was the most open-minded and civilised of the Elven Guards that welcomed the Fellowship in the Wood... the only one who didn't look down on them and wasn't too proud to learn the Common Tongue.
Yea, since that pic aint of haldirs equipment, but of a regular warrior
everything but the sword and thats only slightly different :^(
Haldir is pretty cool because he is so wise wise and his way of speech is just awesome!!
And the way he died was just, Heretic.
haldir is one of the best. up there with gil galad and elrond. i think they should not have gone to helms deep in the movie
I know, people these days, messing up the movies by not being factual...
yes i know berensonofbarahir they are jikes these days
I remember from the director's commentary hearing someone say that they killed Haldir to show the sacrifice of the elves who came to fight. They also said something about how it was nice to have Aragorn up on that wall to do that fancy jump thing he did.
Does anyone know where I can get one of those elvish swords?
United Cutlery hasnt produced it yet, but it IS in the planning stages.
I know of some cheap knock off elven swords from kult of athena.
cool neato alex i love those knock off swords tight pimp sweet
I hope united comes out with a galadrim sword soon... after seeing the Elves weild them in the beginning of the fellowship of the ring against Sauron's forces I wanted one. Just seeing the way those blades cut through Sauron's orcs mande my want one in the worst way. If anyone has a link to a site that shows detailed pictures of a galadrim sword I would appreciate it!
That is the best gear in the movie!
elves just know how to make stuff
