I can assure you I would be so absolutely horrible at Civ5. I actually own it but I haven't played more than an hour of it before getting distracted.

I know people who say it is really good, and so many features like the culture victories seem pretty neat to me. I don't know if I can get into a strategy game that in depth though because I usually don't. Lately I've swung over to the side of difficult single player game and story based stuff.

I wouldn't know. Yuan, I'm not sure if I've ever asked you this question, but do you play with the modpack versions of Minecraft at all? Recently I built a weirdly constructed halfburied desert fortress in Hexxit but that was because midway through I changed it from being an archaeological site.

No I usually play Minecraft vanilla. I've browsed some mods before, is hexxit the one where you can make like rune shapes and have portals or something?

I'm not entirely certain what one that is. It adds a bunch of exploratory elements like additional enemy castles, dungeons, towers, ships, even ones that sort of are in another dimension where if you die you spawn in this limbo and have to find your way out potentially in a bizarrely far flung location thousands of blocks away. I've not plumbed the true depths of what it adds, really.

Sounds pretty sick, oh man. I know people that are getting into Starforge and that fantasy RPG voxel game too. Now that I think about it I haven't really played a sandbox game in awhile... AHH but I really need to beat SMTIV and Xenoblade first

I don't remember what thread it was, but semi-recently it was discussed. Long story short, he got perma-banned.

I donno, I think he is still an alright guy. Just that sometimes it feels like everybody is against you, he couldn't take it anymore and fired off at those in his wake. I understand why but it was a risky move. Sometimes our emotions get the best of us but I'd honestly be cornered to do the same if I was in his shoes. In a complex network like TFF where everybody is friends with a ton of other people, when two people hate the existence of each other it is hard for them to clash without tugging on the threads that connect people, I'd sever it all to get away if it ever got that bad for me too.

I have no idea what happened....
I take it that it was a more personal thing (possibly RL) and not just an argument with Foi....??

Simply put, you know that Kak and some other members had feuds. But then outsiders got wrangled into the feud and sides started to pile up. The weight had shifted from Kak and out of desperation he abrasively called people out publicly for it and when confronted by mods asked to be banned, probably to get away from people who he felt backstabbed him, I know that wasn't the intention of some people though. But what is done is done.

I guess it isn't really simple though, drat.
