I bought this movie on DVD a few days ago and I watched it and I liked it a lot.It was a good movie. The only bad thing I can say the movie had is that it's not as long as it could be.

If you ask me,it should be about 20 minutes longer or more.Another 20-30 minutes would be nice.Or more.

I haven't seen the first one but I want to see it very much now.

The two are very different though, the first one is more a survivor story, while 28 weeks later is more action based,

28 Days Later was better than 28 Weeks Later, but the latter wasn't bad as sequels go.

They shifted the style, a good option in my view since trying to repeat the orginal would only have resulted in failure and mindless repetition rather than originality.

the same went for alien - aliens

I loved 28 Days Later and I hated 28 Weeks Later. 28 Days went beyond what the typical thrill-filled zombie flick is and made it an actually good film. It had real acting and a new storyline. 28 Weeks felt like it just went right back to the same old zombie thrill-ride and left behind all originality. I was expecting a lot more since the first was so good. The first kept me guessing and kept my attention. The second was unoriginal, my boyfriend wanted to leave the theater when we saw it. I think changing directors and styles didn't make sense. It was just another fluffy zombie film. This is all just my humble opinion though. I know some people really enjoyed the second film.

Best part of 28 weeks later was the opening sequence!

It was brutal and realistic and there should have been a lot more sequences like this.

They didn't change directors actually, Danny Boyle directed both. That's what surprised me when I watched 28 Weeks Later and saw it was very different that the first. The sequel went all commercial and so therefore I didn't like it very much. The first one was low budget and I think that's very the originality came from. I liked the first half of the sequel and found it very interesting but then the last half I found boring, offensive, and rushed. I thought the opening sequence at the cottage was mind-blowing though.

lmao, wow, now that's explains a lot.I even said I loved the opening sequence but hated the rest. This other guy really messed up the franchise and ruined it. Danny Boyle was always the best and should have directed the whole thing.

He is directing the third, and I heard a rumour that he is planning a prequal.

We're doomed. That's a shame cause the first 1 1/4 movies ;) were awesome. On imdb.com it doesn't have him signed up for any more sequels? Are you sure there's going to be a third film that he's going to be directing?
