We're not talking about "vague" things here.Those prophecies don't say things like "tomorrow it will rain".And that's it.Or "there will be war...someday."

They talk about specific things that seem to be very close now.

You seem to misunderstand some things that are in the Scriptures,judging by the example you just mentioned.Also you seem to not care for the Scriptures from the way you refer to them.You either take them too literate or you completely ignore them.

My post seems clear to me. Jesus said all those things would happen before that generation is up including his return. And well, none of those has happened. Seems cut and dry to me. (I editted the last post, probaly while you were responding, it has more info in it as to what I was talking about)

And no, I do not take the bible literally. And do not care for it all that much. I follow my faith not some mistranslated written by man clump of words. I find helpful advice in it...but...

What does Islam have to do with it? I never said stupid stuff written by some weird guy. And technically since I can only read english any Quran I read would not be what they consider the true Quran. Any Quran that is not in the original Arabic is considered just an interpretation and not the true Quran.
In debate I would say that it is just words mistranslated by man. Just as I think about the Christian bible etc. Anything written by man is bound to have the bias views of that man, doesnt matter how "God inspired" it is.

So, master of prophesy, why isnt Jesus back yet? I gave you the scripture where it says he should already be here....

To me it all looks like the same story. It all comes from the same source. It just was adapted to each different society or religion. I consider the Bible to be valuable in its lessons, but almost everything that has been said in the old testament never happened. The story of Moses for example is a combination of several leaders who have tried to save the slaves in Egypt. It didn't happen just one time you know. Even the seven plagues were explained in Science as the consequences of what happened on Santorini. It's difficult to say what is true from the New Testament. I do believe there is much which is true, but I also think much has been changed and cut out. After 2000 years, who knows how much has been changed from these tales.

I'm sorry read again more carefully and notice the HUGE differents between a third world war that will end up in total destruction of Turkey,return of Constantinople to the Hellenes,the rule of an Orthodox Emperor and the spread of Orthodoxy to the entire world than what has happened yet.

Now, until there is any real evidence to support these prophesies and such, I think I am out of this thread. Other than accusations of what I will or will not do when faced with other religions, this is no longer holding much interest.

Just to "clear the air" so to speak, I do question other religions, as Cru has said though, there hasnt been any other religions to question/debate. I even started a thread once upon a time to see what others believed. Anywho, the other reason I question (which is what foinikas calls "attacking") the christian faith more (other than the above said reason) is because I am of the Christian faith, so I question it. To not question your own faith..well...lets just say...I believe it is good to question your own faith, to even play the "Devil's Advocate" when it comes to your own beliefs. That way you can make sure you believe because you actually do, or if you believe because some old dusty bearded man, or some over excited TV evangelist is telling you to believe that way.
