Yes everything is corrupt, there are some good people, but all people have some corruption and it is dominate in Religion and Politics and Business. To say your one religion is immune to corruption is naive.

Yes I do say it. And its the last time as well. They describe what you want them to describe. Twisted interpreted, re-interpreted and have so many holes that they can predict any event. That is the nature of prophecies and prophets.

The Bible does show us a way to live,Yes!
Christ DID give us rituals and did talk about Saints and Prophets and Holy Fathers!
As for Pope,Jesus Christ is the Head of the Church(Ekklisia)which translates to Church meaning People!
The Church as people know of it means 'People' without People there is no building.
As Christianity grew, there was needed a building for the people as the homes were too small to contain them.....so buildings were needed for the people to gather and do as God had ordered.
The New Testament was NOT invented by man , but by God.
As Jesus Christ said that He did not come to change the Law, but came to fullfill it!
Fulfillment of the Law of the Old Testament Prophets and Saints!
There are many passages in the Bible that speak of Saints and Prophets and Rituals.....to this very day, that same Old has became the Gospel.

I would not put Nostradamus in the same category with the Saints or Fathers of early Christianity, as they lived a life in prayer, fasting and humbleness throughout their teachings!
Their way of life differs greatly to what others know of as 'Prophets', prophesying in the name of God.
What way ?
It differs greatly because their life was to testify that God is One and great and because of their way of life, God allowed them the special gift of prophecy, unlike Nostradamus and others who so clam to know the true God through use of magic.

Scripture tells us that the demons domain is primarily in high places....high places (Eph. 6:12).....most so called miracles occur.
The 99% of story tellers are being deceived because they are not humble in thought and also because their revelation is not of God.

You can say that they are "saints" "fathers" or whatever, but that doesnt make them prophets in my book.
These tellings of the end-times are obviously christian "prophecies", but if you follow that same line the christian bible also warns us of false prophets.

And if they are true...so what. Why should anyone worry themselves and disrupt their happy lives just because "The End Is Near".

Prophecy or not man will eventually die out, whether it be divine or just natural.

I have had too much of false prophets in my life. The only time I will believe a prophecy is if God comes down to me personally to let me know.

The Old Testament prophets spoke of prophecy of which was awaited by the people and all them came out as it was written.
The New Testament prophecy also spoke of things which is to come...The 'Apocalypse',Whether one believes it to be Truth or untruth, it does not matter, because all that has been written will come out.....some of which have already come out...

Prophecy from God will all come out....as it is happening in our time and age.
False prophets are prophesied in Scripture, and it is a warning to us all to avoid such teachings!....however, people still go after their OWN teachings and read 'new age' apocalyptic false prophecies that only allow them to accuse all true revelation.
The prophecies of Saint Kosmas, that member 'Foinikas' also clearly posted here, amongst many other true teachings of 'signs' of the end, are actually happening in our time...
To actually want God,to personally come to you is not such a great idea, because Satan and his demons are known to appear as 'Angels of light' so that they deceive through illusions. Many cases of which deception has occurred have happened to many elders and saintly people, without humbleness, prayer and fasting,no such revelation should be believed as truth.

The Balkans is the 'small crisis' of which the beginnings of the Apocalypse will surely come to be...
Russia attacks Turkey.....
Greece gets Constantinople back......Saint Sophia(Wisdom) Cathedral will once again show the world what TRUTH is...The preaching of the Gospel?
The Gospel will be preached throughout the world 'for a witness unto all nations' (Matt.24,14; Mark 13,10
And then the end shall not be too long away......

So we don't know who wrote these prophacies, heh? What do we know?

- When were these prophacies made?
- Where were these prophacies made?
- Under what influence were they made?
- Why do they have such impact?

As you might guess, I would say that prophacies are often more historically interesting then they do in projecting the future. Know its context and you are close to understanding what they mean.

As for your question about the time of the prophecies,the Orthodox ones that I showed here were:

The one's by Saint Kosmas Aitolos were before or about the 18th Century,the ones of Emperor Leo IV the Wise,during the middle-ages and his reign.The rest have been written or said by various Orthodox monks or saints from the Byzantine times up to the late 90's.

When Elder Paisios was saying to people that the Soviet Union would fall,that there would be a war in Yugoslavia,that there would be a war in Cyprus people sometimes found it hard to believe,but when they saw it,they were astonished.

Again I have to say that even during the Byzantine times,Orthodox prophecies found fullfillment and that is also stated by western chroniclers like Robert of Clari for example.Signs that were seen and described by many chroniclers for example when Constantinople fell in 1453 confirmed the prophecies that had been told.

For example there was a prophecy that Constantinople was built by an Emperor called Constantine,with a mother called Helen and would fall during the reign of an Emperor called Constantine with a mother called Helen.That Constantinople would fall when the moon would be full and disappears.

On May 22, 1453, the moon, symbol of Constantinople, rose in dark eclipse, fulfilling a prophecy on the city's demise[42]. Four days later, the whole city was blotted out by a thick fog, a condition unknown in that part of the world in May. When the fog lifted that evening, a strange light was seen playing about the dome of the Hagia Sophia, and from the city walls lights were seen in the countryside to the West, far behind the Turkish camp. The light around the dome was interpreted by some as the Holy Spirit departing from the Cathedral, while there was a distant hope that the lights were the campfires of the troops of John Hunyadi who had come to relieve the city.[43]

And concerning the "Marble King" legend:

There are many legends in Greece surrounding the Fall of Constantinople. One of them holds that two priests saying divine liturgy over the crowd disappeared into the cathedral's walls as the first Turkish soldiers entered. According to the legend, the priests will appear again on the day Constantinople returns to Christian hands.[50] Another legend refers to the Marble King, Constantine XI, holding that, when the Ottomans entered the city, an angel rescued the emperor, turned him into marble and placed him in a cave under the earth near the Golden Gate, where he waits to be brought to life again (a variant of the sleeping hero legend).[51].[52]

This Marble King,is the one that the prophecies about the war that is to happen talk about.And Orthodox prophecies from fathers and Saints of Russia also talk about this "last Orthodox Tsar" in the same way that he is being described in the byzantine prophecies and much later ones(of our time).They talk about a huge war that will start and take place mostly in Turkey and the Middle-East,but will involve Russia and the biggest nations.

And the war will cease in a miraculous way and the Lord will reveal this man to us,this last Orthodox King who will rule with justice and iron will and the world will live in real peace for a period of time.

18 Nations with great ferocity angered/ will be slaughtering without sense, bathed in blood. The third day exactly, those who are exhausted from battle still alive will be startled to see/ up high in the Heavens in the right (direction) places/ that a star brighter than the Sun will exist.

Spiritually splendid but brief will be the reign of this last Emperor over the entire Orthodox Christian Oecumene, lasting for but "the space of half an hour" (Rev. 8, 1), apocalyptically speaking, for he will ultimately surrender his Realm to Christ -- after which will come the End of the Age and the Final Judgment.

This is a fact because my mum has the book in Greek, bought in Greece in the sixties, which she brought back here in Australia...
I am in total agreement about manipulating prophecy.
I also agree that early Christians awaited Christ to return because of their sufferings, they wanted no more suffering!
The book of the Apocalypse is very much a prophecy......yet to be revealed.
According to the Bible,if a prophecy is not inspired by God, then it has no truth and should be rejected because it may do more harm then good.
Likewise if a prophecy is inspired by righteous people who dedicate their life in prayer, fasting and of humble a mind, then one should take care to read what is written.....I mean, what possible harm could come from doing so?
'Such impact' as you speak, is because of their simple life in such conditions, prayer and fasting and doing good although many were treated with great disrespect.
Their death only gained more true followers.
It's like a seed....One seed is planted and many more grow from it.
It's fruit is taken off the branch and the fruit is eaten, but the seed is dead, yet when it is planted, many more spring out!

It's not a matter of influence, its what was written in the Bible in the Old Testament...Old Testament Prophets spoke of many prophecies......that have been fullfilled(although many will disagree)
We have the New Testament Prophecies of which have yet to come to be....
Book of Daniel and the well know Book of Saint John of the Apocalypse......
Those people that deny Saints but believe in what the Bible teaches are not listening or reading what the Bible tells them...but each have their OWN interpretation of what is being said......

I have read Nostradamus prohecies, but have not heard of such electro magnetism?
I know that he used scrying of some kind/magic use of spells.....looking into water?
He also was into using natural herbs and stuff of which he used powerful potions to see shadow like dark people who actually gave him prophecy...
Also Nostradamus visited the cave of the Apocalypse which Saint John of Revelation lived in and wrote on the walls the book of Revelation.
I have a link, unfortunately, it is in Greek.....the 'figure here -132Kb : 32- δευτ shows that the cave was split into three, signifying the Trinity.
The cave still exists and it is called 'Holy Cave' the cave of the Apocalpse...Island of Patmos in Greece.

Here is just one shred of proof of why prophecies are, well pretty much fake.

Matthew 24 26-34

Well, that generation has done and gone and yet..hmmm nothing happened.

As said before, anyone can make any kind of "prediction" (basically an educated guess) and it will kinda sorta happen. Make it vague enough, just like all other so called prophecies, add some metaphors, and you can twist it to whatever way you wish.
