Black Sheep- one in every family?

Hey , when I look at my family I actually consider myself to be the black sheep of them all. I just don't fit in . Im gay , interested in the occult , fantasy , and other strange things.......I just seem to be the different one........Anyone else get that feeling?

Yep, we have a black sheep in our family. And that's not me It's my cousin Maciek - he's 30 but still not married. He smokes and has got yellow teeth, hehe And he is very good at breaking things - so never ever lend him your car, bike or anything else! When he was a few years old he often got lost or just went somewhere not telling anybody anything ah, and his brother is going to be a priest, so they both are "special"

lol. I'm the social outcast, but the one that makes great grades. My sister is the opposite. I'm considered the screw up though, probably b/c I'm older and have been through more stuff to screw up. lol

And only because of that you consider yourself to be a black sheep? I'd be happy if I could exchange you for the black sheep in my family. (I hope that was in correct English... ^^)
Some months ago our black sheep took drugs, drunk alcohol, stole and wagged school, so that he was thrown out of school. He didn't even have a school-leaving qualification. That's what I consider to be a black sheep.

yeah...I feel like a black sheep... I have epilepsy and brought that way many misery to the family. A lot. I couldn't complete my study...I don't have a job yet. I also heard secretly that If I didnt have my problems that my mother would have divorced my father.

Ohwells...I'm somewhat of a black sheep, but in a milder form.

I lack a sense of culture (anyone who has read the Monarchy thread should know) and my family knows it. That's why they keep nagging at me for not wanting to wear the Indian cultural dress at functions, and I don't want to because they're stuffy! Don't get me wrong, I like different cultures, they're all unique in their own way, but I'm not a fanatic.

I also keep away form my relatives during functions and that's why they speak ill of me and my mother (because she never succeeds in getting me to wear the ultra-traditional stuff) behind my back (according to my mother when she goes into a rant about how difficult I am) They keep wanting me to sit with them, to engage in all the gossip that they do, but I can't stand being around those foul people! That's why they say I'm antisocial and they don't hold me in high regard (not that I care).

I'm pretty sad that they use cultural sense as a yardstick to gauge people's character though. A relative of mine failed his 'O' levels twice, hangs out with bad company and is currently loafing around, though they still act all friendly towards him because his mother is a very social andtraditional person, whereas I MAKE good grades, I'm in one of Singapore's top schools and I still get this kind of treatment from my relatives.

I am the black sheep! W00t!!! I was miss goody-goody two shoes, I did everything right because I was so terrified of getting punished and that made my parents angry because they always thought I was plotting something and they would beat the tar out of me anyway. Then when I graduated high school, I moved four states away...you do not do that in my family, you stay by them so they can control and manipulate your life. I have been married and divorced and am a single mom now with two kids. I was a youth pastor at one time...that is a whole story in and of itself!

It may not sound bad at all, however, with everything that has happened and the way I get looked down upon by my family, you would swear that I was the Antichrist! Oh well...you kind of learn to live with it...? lol

My entire immediate family are black sheep. My Aunts and Uncles and cousins are all so different from us. I think they get nervous inviting us to family reunions

Ah well, me and my grandmother are the black sheep I guess. And my aunt. And my uncle. That's nearly the whole family actually........

Yeah, there are a lot of...not very nice people, on both sides of my family. Alcoholics, druggies, convicts, some 14 year old with a baby...but the sad thing is, they're the majority.

So I obviously skip most family reunions. I'm quite happy sticking with my immediate relatvies...most of them, anyway.

Almost everyone in my family is a "black sheep" out of some group or other. My mom's a horse trainer as well, like Arwen, my dad's the only one in his family who went to college, and my grandparents moved from Michigan because they didn't get along with their relatives. And then there's me, a complete oddball, but none of the people I'm close to notice because they're just as strange as me!

I guess I'm the biggest of the black sheep in my family. When I graduated I turned into a pretty hard drinker and told my entire family to **** off and didn't talk to them for close on 3 years. I then tried to again and couldn't stand them so I told them all to fist themselves and hardly talk to any of them anymore. My mom I haven't spoken a word to in almost 4 years now. And then there's my wife and well she'd be her whole own topic. Eventually you get to the point where you stop caring what they think and they'll accept u or they won't, you just have to learn to be yourself and live with who you can. To clarify this I truly am not an alcoholic, I'm a social drinker and can go months without a drink. Also being into the whole Roleplaying and fantasy thing when I'm now 27 is looked upon as a little strange.
