What's it like to be newly in love?

My 7 month old daughter is still awake at 11pm, so I could just be delirious with fatigue, but here goes: Does anyone feel like giving up their thoughts on what it is like to be newly in love? I think it's a bit like the "Leap of Faith" scene in "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade". You step out into a gaping, bottomless chasm with the faith that something solid will meet your step and bear the weight of your hope. Scary but exhilarating at the same time.

Hmm...it's a wonderful feeling when you are in love.It makes you a better person.But it hurts a lot.

There's nothing that really compares to it, it's like an adrenaline rush you never have to come down from. Although if it ends the crash can be devastating.

I never had a girl that I liked very much or loved so that's why it's also very bad and painful for me and it makes me feel sad too many times.

This love thing confuses me. Does long-term love feel any different from puppy love? (I've only had the latter and in fairly mild doses.)

I'm not sure if there's a difference, I haven't been around long enough to know if long term love feels different, but that early puppy love feels pretty nice.

Best. Feeling. Ever.

The excitement. The newness. Exploring a person mentally, emotionally and physically. Getting a buzz out of talking to them, holding their hand, the first kiss. Etc etc etc.

Awesome.

But yeah, if it goes bad, it hurts like hell. But then again we're not talking about first heartbreak are we? :-D

Opening yourself to the exhilaration of experiencing such intensity with another is a risk worth taking, I feel, however painful the crash back to Earth, if there is one, may be. It would be a life half lived if one did not experience it at least once! It is quite beautiful, beguiling, distracting and generally awesome!!!

Yeah ywah and most of all you get to miss the feeling that you have when she says "Sorry but I only see you as a friend" or "Sorry but I can't see you in another way" or "You're really cute but I have a boyfriend" or "If only I had met you earlier in my life we might have been together" or "Oh you're so sweet,so romantic so cute...I'm sure you'll find someone else and she'll be the best!".

Girls...they are meant to make you feel bad.At least me.Arghhhh.............................
