The Dragonstone Triology Book 1
I have a title for book 1 already but I wanted to share a bit of the prologue with you guys see what kind of feedback I get back, I have a lot written already history, characters, etc.
here it goes...this is by no means the final prologue copy it might need some editing here and there...plus I'm continuously writing the History of my fantasy world, so I just keep adding and subtracting hope you guys like it, and give me some feedback I would appreciate it thanks... Prologue 2200 AE Day of the Dragons From local taverns to city courtyards everyone was talking about the Dragons of Elendryl. For the last 500 years an evil enchantment had been placed on the Great Mystical Dragons slowly killing them until only eight were left. No one knew who was responsible for enchanting the dragons, but some agreed that whatever it was, it was evil and very powerful. The noble people of Elendryl had many questions about the dragon’s fates and worried that all hope for them would be lost forever. “Will they die?” “How long will they stay this way?” “All hope is gone.” “Is this the only way?─There must be another solution.” Walking at night proved to be a daunting task for some kinfolk during these hard times, in the wind you could hear the evil cursing the elves for what they had done─and so the whispers went on……like harrowing hisses in the dark… Silent whispers in the night Breathe no more the fire you smite Scales, hide, Tooth, and claw Fly no more and the earth will fall Dust shall become you─then you will die Stone can’t change what is your right …….and so the whispers went on through the night as the dragons fell one by one─for many, who heard the “Silent Whispers” it only reaffirmed their beliefs in the unknown and the notions about this new world of magic and evil. There were after all things dwelling in the dark that were better left undisturbed for the good of all, and some refused to believe that such inclinations of great importance were being conveyed by a mere breeze in the wind. But, even with such doubts─most if not all were convinced there was a great force of evil killing the Dragons of Elendryl. As two drunken Dwarves walked out of the Brookmire Tavern in the city of Marion they couldn’t help but look up at the sky towards the heavens above Elendryl where the Floating Islands of Arianna would be the scene of a magical contortion that the realm of Elendryl had never witnessed in its entire history. The gray pigmented clouds that swept across the four islands exumed within them the arcane magic that kept them afloat. For almost 2000 years these islands have been home to the Mystical Dragons of Elendryl. Magically placed away from the prying eyes of everyone by the High Elves of Mylendel the islands represented the special relationship that the dragons shared with the elves. And, ironically it is on this day that the High Elves of Mylendel will extinguish the flames of the last Seven Dragons of Elendryl for their own good. It is mid-day in Mylindel. Leaves from the Tiborean trees scatter along the cobble-stoned floor just outside of the Great Hall of the High Elves. The reflections of the trees hitting the marble floor of the hall’s entrance is reminiscent of a painting caught in time......that is until a courier wood-elf with a green robe disturbs the placement of the leaves as he rushes by to reach the doors to the Hall of Mylindel. The Elf Aryatheas is at the entrance of the hall reading the writings of the First Gathering on the wall’s manuscript.. What madness it must of been, He thought to himself. Wizards, Beasts, and Men deceived by Nevanyon, apprentice of the Wizard Oregoth─ and then saved by the Fairies who were sent by the GODS uncovering treachery unbeknown to the naked eye.... amazing. Dressed in his mythrill vest and still adorning his silver bow from practice he sees from the corner of his eyes a shrewy wood-elf stumbling into the Hall and almost gasping for air. The Elf reaches into his leather brown bag and excerpts a sealed envelope from the Stewart in the Kingdom of Lyndell located in West Elendryl. “Yo─your…Kinship, takes a deep breath…, this letter just arrived from the Stewart i─in...the Kingdomof Lyndell with gr─great importance……it is for High Elf Breyndiir of the First Order of Mylendel!” The wood-elf shorter than his brethren High Elf descendant struggles to reach Aryatheas height as he hands the sealed envelope to him as he tries to calm down. “Lyndell you say, I hope it isn’t what I think it is.” He takes the sealed envelope with a worried look and starts heading for the High Elf’s Chambers. “That would be all courier thank you.” Says Aryatheas as he walks away. The courier bows gracefully and heads back out to the bridge that connects the Great Hall to the High Court and goes on his way. Lyndell Kingdom is tending to Lord Gaelroth the urgency of the courier would lead me to believe that his end is near─Aryatheas’ thoughts cause him to tense up and become a bit distressed as he quickly finds his way to the chambers of High Elf Breŷndiir─high above the hall He climbs the circular staircase made out of high polished marble until he comes to a halt at large round wooden door─and knocks. “Lord Breyndiir, I have an urgent message for you, It’s from Lyndell. I fear maybe...” Aryatheas is interrupted by the sudden crackle of the door leading into the Lord’s chambers, and a luminescent glow pierces through the crevice of the archway exposing what lies within. As the door opens, a tall elf with long white hair and semi-parched red lips appears─his posture hasn’t changed in a thousand years─poised to take the Elves |

Same. Note: Use your spacing to make sure that different people and locations do not flow into each other creating confusion.
