Good, you should. They are worth it, even with all the flaws.

      Goodie! It's awesome :D

Yep. I love the fact that I can read a Holmes story, and not think about the film.
Though, I think the actors were perfect. Ah, I just love Jude Law! And Downey Jr.
    2. jake1964
lol...I always tell the truth. ;)
    3. Prince_Kheldar
Nah, it's only three books. Doesn't take long to read, not if you are a fast reader, I suppose.

You should gibe it a try, it is very good. I'll give you a tip to start with; go to youtube and search for "jeremy clarkson drivers the smallest car in the world". it's hilarious.

Well, I think the Holmes books are very good, but it's hard to compare them to the movie, as... well, it's a movie. But they are very.. thorough, and I really like the way things happen in them. The plots are well explained, and it flows nicely.
    4. Prince_Kheldar
Well, I'm not really sure what to say to you about that... It's a pretty good story, a good plot... But to me it seems sort of like he has just rushed into things just to make another series. It's like it's not as thought through as the others. But it's still pretty decent, though.

I'm not really one of these car enthusiasts that can name every car that's been made, every model and the amount of gas it can take, but I do enjoy cars a bit, plus Top Gear is very humorous. In fact, when I started watching it, it was because of the great humour.

Yes, I was still more or less a kid when the films came. I'm not sure whether I like the books or the films better; it's sort of hard to compare seeing as it's different things. But I think I would choose the books, if I was told to pick one. What about you?

Oh, I loved Avatar. I didn't watch it in 3D, but I was still breath-taken. I think it was a very good movie. But I also watched Sherlock Holmes not long after, and I think that was a better movie. It's not awefully Holmsey, but I think it was a very good movie. Did you see it? And ave you read any of the Holmes stories?
    5. Prince_Kheldar
Oh, so many books... I don't even remember them all right now!
Well, now I am reading The Elenium, by David Eddings. It's been on my list for a long time, so it's good to finally get to read it. Although, I don't like it as much as the Belgariad and Mallorean, it seems like the Elenium lack some of the... "depth", and it doesn't have such great characters. It's like Eddings just wanted to write another series, and followed the same plot as the previous series.
I'm also going to read LOTR again, only in English this time. But I'll have to wait for money to pile up, so I can buy them first. The library here(in the town I study in) has a disappointing collection of English books. I am also going to buy, and read, some books written by the presenters of a motoring show called Top Gear, have you heard about it?
Ah, there are just so many books on my list, I would take up the whole comment space if I was going to mention them all! :)
      What about you?

Yes, the LOTR movies were long, and it's understandable that they had to leave out many parts, but it's still sort of sad. And I wonder if I would watch them if I had read the books before they came out.
And I feel the same way you do about the Wheel Of Time series; if say, the Belgariad was made into a movie, I don't think I would watch it. Because I just really love the way I picture the characters and everything, I don't want Hollywood to ruin it.
    6. Prince_Kheldar
Hell yeah, we are soo much better than them! ...hehe.

Well, it is already on my to-read list, and I have bought it, so it would be a shame not to read it. So, I will, some day :)

Ah yes, the first two were good, the third was sort of passable, but then it just went downhill from there. And the last one, the Half-Blood Prince, was absolutely awful. It's like they forgot to go by the book!
I love the LOTR films, even though I am a bit sad so many things were left out. Like Tom Bombadil.

No, I haven't read it. I've always been meaning to, ever since I started reading fantasy, but it just never happened. And now I thin kit seems like a very "heavy" series to start reading, especially when I always have new books to dig through.
    7. Prince_Kheldar
It's the exact same thing with me! Sometimes read during lunch, and people look at me as if I was crazy. Same thing when I read during breaks, and when I ask people if they've read this and that book, they all look at me as if I was from another planet. It's very sad, they seriously do not know what they're missing out on.

Ah, I see. I'll read it some time, I promise! But right now I have soo many other books to read!

Oh yes, I love that series. And I like the films too. Like you say, the films usually suck when based on a book you really like, like the latest Harry Potter films.
    8. Prince_Kheldar
Yes, it is, and way too few people realise that these days.

Yes, in fact I own it. Though, it's in my "books I have bought but yet not read"-shelf...

Well, I read mostly fantasy, heh. And mysteries/thrillers. My favourite books are The Mallorean series, by David Eddings. Do you know it?
I also love Stieg Larssons books, and Sherlock Holmes/Agatha Christie. -Okay, I love a lot of books...
    9. Prince_Kheldar
Oh, I read a lot too. I always have a book to read.
What kind of books do you read?
    10. Anakin
There is almost nothing I remember unfortunately, anyway I'm going to have dinner. Nice talking to you.
    11. Anakin
Well yeah I was only 7. I don't remember much of it. Too be honest I can't remember much of my childhood. I think I lose so much memories also due to the heavy medication.
    12. Prince_Kheldar
I know, there are sooo many good ones out there!

What about books? Do you read much?
    13. Anakin
Yes I think I've been given my first medication when I was at the age of 7. That's when I first had to go the hospital. I was actually completely paralysed, for some reason. Was strange... Can't remember it. But that was for like a month I think.
    14. Anakin
The first symptoms started to appear when I was 3 years old, but doctors think it's safe to assume that I had it from birth.
    15. Prince_Kheldar
      Oooh, I'm so jealous!
Hmm, I'm not sure.. I haven't really watched any anime in a while, but there are so many I like. The same with manga, although I think Bleach is my favourite. What about you?
    16. Anakin
I've had worse seizures. But it's always something, cause some seizures are not that bad, but very annoying. And then there are seizures who are very bad, but you don't remember them when you go through them. So what is actually worse? The ones who are really bad or really annoying. It can vary. And yeah I think from Tori's point of view as she takes care of me, it can get really scary sometimes.
    17. Prince_Kheldar
Oh, that's cool! I wish I'd have the opportunity to travel a lot. Where have you been?

Yes, I love Japan! I'm a huge anime/manga enthusiast, and I just love the Japanese culture and all that!
    18. Anakin
I take medication for Epilepsy. I have a pretty rare form and sometimes it can get dangerous. Even yesterday I was suffering from seizures, but that is because I was physically pretty much exhausted. It can be provoked by several things and sometimes can even be deadly. Once my muscles froze when I was standing on a staircase so I fell back. My head was bleeding, but I could have broken my neck if I hadn't broken my fall. So yeah I take a lot of medication (Tegretol, Luminal, Rivotril and Lyrica). And you know the (kind of) funny part. I wrote this message hours ago to reach you. However I had seizures again today after we talked, so it didn't get to you, so that's why you didn't get a quick reply back.
    19. Prince_Kheldar
      Mmmmyes, it does :D

No, not really. I've been to Sweden and Finland, that's about it. What about you?

Oh, I'd love to study in England. Or Scotland/Ireland. I've got plans about visiting all of those.
And Japan. That would be so cool!
    20. Prince_Kheldar
I want to travel as well. I have made so many travelling plans... I am really hoping for a job offshore, then I'll get both money and opportunity to do so!

I have many online friends too, I'd like to meat. One day I will travel!

Hmm, I'm thinking about studying abroad, if I don't get the apprentice spot I want after next year. But I Don't know where yet :)
