Ooh, an exciting day of swearing at a hairbrush ahead then :D

We've also had rain and thunder, but the temp remains between 20°C and 30°C, the air being hot and sticky. (this is why I like northern countries)

Yes thank you, although it's much too hot here. For you too? Not going to change your mind about your viking hair? :D

Well, let me know when you find out. I'm always in for these kinds of snippets :)

Hmmm - it's rather unusual for a museum to give their top piece out on loan. I understand the Prado had it for some time on display in an exchange move.

I do know that Hans Hoffmann made several studies of this painting, even an accurate copy, which in themselves are regarded as museum quality. Maybe you've seen one of those?

lol - I suppose I can't really go too far off topic in the debate threads about Russia...

The hare - you must be the first not to call it a bunny, thank you for that - is Albrecht Dürer's Feldhase (or, commonly in English, Young Hare), considered to be the top piece of the Albertina in Vienna (close enough :p). Well. A modification of that hare, brought on by a piece of forum drama in the past. Anyway, it's considered to be the top piece of the collection there, no doubt it has a prominent place. And it should be - the painting (or, technically, gouache) dates from 1502, a year not particularly known for water-based animal studies of this quality.

To my slight frustration, though, I must admit that I haven't seen this hare in real life. So.... what's it like in reality??
