spams is a subforum; not sure what you mean of groups?

(I used to be in one anime forum in order to find the anime I was looking for; they have sort of group of spam, this setup is way different :p )

we just have subforum where you make threads; and spam is a spam, not much else to say :p

many of us have heated disputes over religion, but I would not recommend for newbie to step in those :p and there is random chat; just everyday talks atc

Oh, so you're one of the youngest here. Good to have another young person. I'm 17 and in my last year of school, and I wouldn't consider you a criminal for one small thing like that.

Close, but it was The Mysterious Island. I read that when I was 12 or 13.

      Got to go now though.

The only books that we have that are old come from the family (we have a whole collection from the 19th century), but most old books (as in old stories, printed recently) are quite cheap, as they're out of copyright. I even get quite a few free in my Kindle.
I have read only one Jules Verne (in french) and I loved it. I really should read more.
Not really; I once took a packet of stickers when I was about 5, but I didn't really understand that it was a bad thing at the time.

It's probably the same with me in german as it is for you in french; I would have trouble with a real book, although knowing English and a bit of dutch does help.
There have been books that I've liked, others that I've hated, but most of the time I don't really mind. I also love old books, which most people find weird; I just love the style.

We also have to read books in school, yes. In English it's fun: we talk about the story, analyse it, etc. But in french, we're given a date, we finish the book for then, we have a test on that date and that's the end of that. Less fun.
We also read short stories in german, but we talk more about the words and meaning of the story as we're still learning.

There are loads of books that I choose myself that I love reading over and over again, but I don't think that I've ever read a school book more than once.

Over the age of 14 or 15 I wouldn't really recommend getting stuck in with Eragon, although the first one is good and the second not too bad. It is very similar to David Eddings' Belgariad.

As to protagonists' gender, I just read the book and don't really put any importance into it. I've just been re-reading loads of books by my favourite french author, the protagonist in most of them is female, same with Trudi Canavan, but I also have loads of books with male protagonists.

I actually started reading in English and french (school was in french) between 5 and 6, but until I was 11 I didn't like reading. My parents bought me Eragon (which had just come out) and I decided to try it. After the firs few chapters I was hooked and have not stopped devouring books since then. Mainly fantasy, but usually just about anything, although I don't usually read horror stories.

I never actually read them, but I did watch the film. I only started reading for pleasure at age 11, so I started off slightly late.

      No problem.

Yes, I have done the same (except for the horror stories). The main thing is that unless I plan a certain length, the story just dies out, so the only one that I started and finished is a short story, fantasy with a bit of love.

If you scroll down on the homepage you should find the Art House. There really are some great drawings there.

What kind of stories do you write?

Well, there is a place for you to post your drawings if you think they're good enough or want to show them off.
