Thanks. It's in my nature to go slowly (I'm very shy), although I'm probably going too slowly.

About the book, when you said "she" might not be able to finish it in time, do you mean you or the book? (or somebody else?)

At our age I wouldn't expect to do that much about writing. ;)

Good luck with it! I love to sing though I'm not especially good at it ....lol.

It's the adrenaline rush! I'm sure that's why they wait in line.

Oh, OK: I'm not good enough yet to read a german poem I think.

As to my girlfriend; I'm just too shy to go any further than just talk to her at school.

And for books, we're just given one and have to read it. Not that fun really, unless it's a good book.

You could post your poems in the "Fan Poetry" section here (or whatever it's called). You can even search for the one I posted called "Just for the Thoughts."

Nothing really new, what about you?

I've written one or two for fun, but haven't really spent much time on them. When it's for school I do try to make them good.
I do have fun writing/talking in poem form though: rhyme, rhythm and alliteration.
Sonnets are not easy to write, good job!

That's not the problem, the problem is that they don't try and just mess around.

As to flemish, it is to dutch what swiss german is to german; it's basically simplified german (no more Nominativ, Akkusativ, Dativ, Genitiv) and only "het" and "de" (instead of der, die, das, die).
As to french, it's very different: one is of latin origin, the other of germanic origin. We have three official languages in Belgium: french, flemish and german (the east is germanophone).
Just think of Switzerland, who have french and german.

Well, maybe we have a different conception of the french accent: their's isn't really an accent, more a destruction of german; they don't actually pronounce anything correctly (one's from Alsace, so that might explain it).

No, I live in the centre, in Brabant Wallon. The coast is in flemish territory.
      I've never been through Saxony.

It is definitely a fun accent, although french people speaking german with a strong french accent is just annoying.
So you're from the north then are you, or just not from the south?

Canadian french (from Quebec) is more of a dialect with a strong accent. I've never heard it myself but I hear that it's difficult.
We laugh about the Bayern accent, usually saying that the person on the disk for a listening comprehension will have one.

So no Bayern accent then? heh We always make fun of that in our german class.

Most people don't know the rest, only the number. Some times we'll be talking to people that speak french french and not realise that they don't understand some words that we're using.
But do you just speak Hochdeutsch?
    15. Druid of Lûhn
      Druid of Lûhn
It's like Schweizerdeutsch (or Schwizerdeutsch in swiss-german) and Hochdeutsch: we all understand french french but also use belgian words (septante = 70, nonante = 90, drache = heavy rain, clinche = door-handle, etc.)

Yes; "chouette" also means "fun," I forgot about that.

Non, je ne me moque pas du tout. C'est chouette de te parler.

As soon as I'm feeling down I think about you and laugh out loud.

Not at all, je pense que tu parles très très bien!

Well, well, micki... What should we do with you?

You said "parceque notre prof est plus belle"
Because your teacher is more beautiful?
