I'm working in steel fab running a pressbrake, which is super boring but I can't complain. Trying to figure out what the hell I'm doing with my life still haha.

I actually stopped writing for a few years, got pretty big into magic tricks which has been fun. Trying to balance both has been interesting. Any idea how long you'll stick around this go round?

No not really. There doesn't seem to be much in the way of reason to stay other than writing. I don't know too many people anymore. Still can't shake the feeling that this is my Internet home though lol.

And it sounds like steady, honest work. If it pays enough for you too pursue hobbies on top of that then all the better.

That's pretty much how I view it. I'll never be rich off it or be super in love with my job but it pays the bills and it's not miserable so I can't complain.

I stick around for basically the same reason. A handful of old timers stick around spam but they're never on when I am so I never have much reason to post. It's a nostalgia thing I guess.

i think there needs to be an independant presence in the senate (upper house) to act as a house of review so the sitting government can enact whatever laws or policies they feel is necessary. human nature being what it is

I'd be happy just having a moderate something in there but these days being a moderate doesn't get you to the US congress.

i hear that. my fav politician is Senator Scott Ludlum (greens).
think he should change houses and the greens may pick up a lot of seats, but the issue with that is that in the senate he's a power, in the house he'd just be another minor party member with no say
