When in Scotland or Germany, prefer the small village life, backpacking through vast countryside, and long walks on barely hospitable trails. They can keep the city--okay, 'cept Edinburgh, an architectual visual feast and all it's usual tourist trappings are actually a delight. Have loved the idea of Canada because I've been told it's very European in it's culture, and the untouched landscapes that I love. After a decade overseas, well, let's just say there's definitely going to be some culture shock when we return to the states. While kids are finishing this last leg of school, we're going to begin exploring Canada. I've heard they have those small villages I love--looking up there beyond Washington state.
Hope your writing day is productive. Mine's just beginning to lift off the floor. Finally properly diagnosed versus handed a bunch of pain killers--rheumatoid...oh joy...so the writing career is TOP priority again.

      ciao,

      You're into classic cars??!!
      Woooot!
Decades ago--gah, I'm aging myself--I used to attend the low rider show in California, every New Year's Day. Wow, the cars, the artwork...
Don't laugh, but my first car was a Plymouth Valiant, 3-on-the-tree. Oh sure, I drive high end now, but you wouldn't believe how much I miss that little car. I think it would still be running today, had it not been stolen & pushed from a cliff...THAT'S another saga we'll save for a rainy day. ;D

Reading and Writing fantasy. Presently publishing my first novel called The High Wizard of Silvinesh. Also working on the sequel I call Cold Winter's Magic. I own a 1966 Dodge Charger and love dring the old 440 fastback on nice summer days.
