I am trying to find a book I read some years ago. I cannot remember the title or author.

The book was about an ambassador from cultured and civilised lands that was travelling in barbarian lands. If my memory serves me right the ambassador seemed to based on Chinese or Japanese ancient culture.

I also seem to remember the word Chiantze.

Can you help me find that book.

I just finished Eye of the World by Robert Jordan, (which was superb) and I am on the beginning stages of Pillars of Creation by Terry Goodkind. So far nothing really amazing, actually quite weak compared to the rest of Goodkind's books.
