Hi!
I was making a music binder, but as soon as I wet the leather, it started looking like it grew the measles. The face itself just has a couple spots, but the edging strips I cut (and soaked in a bowl rather than sponged) look horrid.
I *really* didn't think it could have happened so quickly. It literally showed up within twenty minutes, in an air conditioned workroom. Is it possible the leather already had a mold problem that wasn't noticable until it was wet?
And either way.. is it possible to reclaim this project, or do I have to just get new leather and start all over?
